I love salads. If you do too, you got to try this one. I got free papayas (raw ones) from one of my aunts. She has this beauty grown in her home. Initially, I thought of making a Thai Green Papaya Salad. But I had to modify the recipe for two reasons;
- I did not have dried shrimps
- Reed Thai chili (fresh) was not available
- I like raw papaya shredded
Well, I am sharing a modified version of Papaya salad with you. Do try and share your input with me.
INGREDIENTS: 1 Green Papaya - Peeled and Grated 5 Green Beans 3 Garlic Cloves - Minced 1 Tomato - Cubes 1 Salted, Roasted Peanuts - Coarsely Chopped 2 Tbsp of Fish Sauce 3 Tbsp of Fresh Lime Juice Salt - A Pinch Crushed Dried Red Chili - Half Tsp PROCESS: In a bowl, mix fish sauce, lime juice, salt, crushed chili, and minced garlic. Place it aside. Boil and thinly slice green beans. In another bowl, add green papaya, beans, and tomato. Now pour the dressing over the salad, also add peanuts. Delicious Green papaya salad is ready to serve.
