Eating Habits Can Be Of Help In Weight Loss

Do you strive really hard to shed off those extra pounds sticking to you like a two-year-old stubborn little boy, who would never let you go alone anywhere? Or is a gym, exercise, jogging, and diet doing you no good? If you are undergoing either of the scenarios above, you better read this blog post once to identify the problem.

Before we get into details let us start with self-assessment. Self-assessment is paramount in a weight loss journey. Before planning further, analyze your love for food. Ask yourself the following questions;

“Are you a foodie? How much you love food? Do you eat to live or live to eat?”

If your love for food is 05 on the scale of 05, you are in trouble. Now is the time to ditch food. Yes, “ditch it now”. Start practicing nodding your head as soon as you are invited for a scrumptious bar b q buffet, appetizing fusion cuisine, or tempting sweet desserts. I am not implying the concept of the diet here but to keep your food desires in limits is the key.

I am between 50-52 kgs since 2011. I never diet. I am not against dieting but the modern diet concept haunts me. Being a food lover, I can not imagine my life not eating what I want and when I want. The general impression of dieting includes; zipping your mouth, to starve, or entirely cut down most of the food items. In my opinion, this is a bad bad idea. Imagine not eating anything sweet for 06 days and on the 7th day, which is a cheat day, you dive into the pool of pudding with chocolate bar topping, holding a base of mousse. I would suggest you incorporate the eating habits as mentioned below and feel the difference, not only in your waistline but in your mood too.

The golden rule: “It is more about how much you eat rather than what you eat.”

At least for me, this works. Remember that calorie count game so in trend these days? Reduce your meal portion to half of what you are already consuming. If you are planning to eat two sandwiches, give one to your friend or colleague. One is enough for you.

Eat to live. Do not eat to control anger, to avoid stressful situations, to divert your mind from happenings around, or to reduce depression. There is a big NO to eating during these situations. Some people gulp in everything offered when excited or happy. Don’t do that ever.

Setting up the meal timings, closer to nature is a must to do. It is extremely important that you have proper timings for having your food. By proper timings I do not mean to have breakfast at 11:00 am daily, lunch at 4:00 pm and dinner around 10:00 pm. The ideal meal timings are;

Breakfast: 7:00 am – 8:00 am

Lunch: 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm

Dinner: 7:30 pm – 8:30 pm

Feed yourself with everything often. Do not wait for the “craving” thing to overcome your desire of losing weight. Cravings never let you win your aim of losing your waist.

Nothing happens overnight. There is no such thing in the world that can do wonders in single night sleep. Consistency, will, and struggle is fundamental to achievements. Therefore, bring the adjustments in your eating habits and on top of that, stay consistent.
