A letter to my daughter on her birthday

My little girl, time is flying, it is running too fast. It seems as if it was yesterday I held you in my arms for the very first time. From a woman, I became a mom. A mom to a beautiful and perfect creation of Allah.

You, little baby, took my heart away, your tiny little feet took my breath away. My motherhood instinct wanted to hide you from the world but I was so happy that I wanted to share my bundle of joy, my happiness with everyone around. I went through the roller coaster of feelings, ecstatic but nervous.

I WANTED TO HIDE YOU FROM THE WHOLE WORLD

Though I have said it to you many times, let me say it again, I love you. I fell in love with you the very day you were born and since then my love for you grows with each passing day.

Allah has been extremely kind to me, He blessed me with a daughter so angelic, loving, caring, kind, understanding, and sensible. You have brought so much joy, happiness, love, cries, smiles, proud moments, and laughter in my life. The memories we are having together my child, are priceless.

My Jan, mom’s world revolves around you. Now that you are growing up and becoming independent in doing your little things, I feel proud but nostalgic. No matter how old you get, you will always be mommy’s little munchkin, my dil ka tukra.

YOU WILL NEVER OUTGROW MY HEART

All these seven years my baby girl, I might not have been a perfect mom, but I tried. I might have had angry episodes but I love you. I might have forgotten to fulfill some promises but I never meant to. I might have not let you do things your way but I was just being protective. I might have said “NO” a lot many time but I care for you.

I know my girl, I have made many mistakes and might make more in future but always remember mom loves you with all her heart, no matter what.

My baby! today on your birthday, I want to tell you a few things and I want you to remember them always.

No one is perfect, never run after being perfect. You will make mistakes, so do I. My child, its ok to fall down, it is ok to fail but after every fall GET UP, after every failure TRY AGAIN, Never give up. Your mistakes will teach you the best lessons so, use them to make yourself a better person.

Keep Trying, Never Give Up My Child

You are an adorable, caring, kind, and loving soul. Stay the same always. You have the most beautiful heart and I am proud of being a mother to a daughter who is equally beautiful inside as she is outside. Remember! Always love yourself. Respect yourself and treat yourself the way you want others to treat you. Keep your head high, you are my pride.

I know my cuppy cake loves watching dreams. Never stop following your dreams and work hard to make them real. Your mama will always be by your side to help you turn your dreams into reality.

My baby, you might outgrow my lap but will never my heart. You can any time come to snuggle your mama and I will hug you back super tight with lots of kisses (pappiyan) and jadoo ki japhi.

On your birthday, I pray to Allah, May He guide you to the righteous path always. May He protect you from all evil eyes. May He shower His countless blessings on you throughout your life. May He give me the strength and courage to raise my children in accordance with the teachings of Islam. May you grow up as a practicing Muslim and a good human being. Aameen.
